I did as suggested, it went straight to restart, i noticed mouse was slow going across screen, then it came up with windows needs to restart to keep settings which i did. I then went into mouse settings and turned off tapping. Done restart and everything was fine. Then done a windows update and it automatically updated Synaptics settings. Reverted back to original problem, Went into mouse settings and removed again, this time it went to generic mouse where I couldn't change any settings on the tapping. Updated driver from device manager. The first time I removed driver it worked until window's updated. There after removing driver reverted to generic touch pad. I've downloaded the full driver from HP and installed it, turned off tapping and restarted and now it's remembering. Not sure how this worked, the only difference I done was to turn off and then turn back on instead of restarting. Anyway way, Many Thanks for your help greatly appreciated.
